Colm Willis focuses his practice on corporate law, real estate transactions, and government affairs.
Colm represents businesses of all sizes and types, from start up to dissolution or succession. His work includes business entity formation, contract drafting, non-profit organization, purchase and sale transactions, intellectual property matters, and legal maintenance of corporations, limited liability companies, and other entities.
He also represents clients in all manner of real estate transactions including leases, sale agreements, options to purchase, easements, and development agreements.
Colm helps clients engage with various government entities in Oregon. He helps clients draft and introduce bills in the state legislature, testify in committee hearings, and navigate the initiative and referendum process. He helps clients comply with campaign finance law and represents clients in disputes with administrative agencies.
Colm graduated first in his law school class at Willamette University College of Law and was Valedictorian. He served as the Note and Comment Editor of Willamette Law Review. Prior to law school, Colm worked in the U.S. Senate as a congressional aide for the Joint Economic Committee. He staffed congressional hearings with Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and helped economists analyze data during the credit crisis of 2008. In 2016 Colm was elected to be the Republican nominee for Congress in Oregon’s 5th Congressional District.
